It’s snowing!!! It’s been snowing since 4am this morning! For me, this is such a rare sight. Tokyo has not seen so much snow before February ​in a number of years! My research found that the coldest year Japan has experienced was in 1902, January 25th, where the temperature was recorded as (minus) -41°C in 北海道旭川 (Asahikawa, Hokkaidō). It’s unlikely that we will see any temperatures that low in any near future.
